Responsibilities
- Assess patient acuity using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols and prioritize care accordingly
- Collaborate with physicians to develop rapid treatment plans for critical cases
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation including triage notes
- Provide clear communication to patients/families regarding wait times and care progression
- Oversee triage team workflows during peak hours and emergency surges
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for patient flow and satisfaction
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California (CA RN)
- Minimum 3 years emergency department or critical care experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems
- Exceptional clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Strong Spanish language proficiency preferred
