Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications for patients accurately, ensuring proper labeling and safety checks.
- Verify patient information and insurance details to ensure billing compliance and reduce errors.
- Assist the Pharmacist in the compounding of medications and the routine operation of pharmacy equipment.
- Manage inventory levels, including checking stock and ordering necessary supplies in a timely manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering phone inquiries, processing returns, and resolving patient concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area that complies with all health and safety regulations.
- Handle cash transactions and manage the point-of-sale system with precision and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Current and active PTCB or ExCPT certification (or state registration) required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate pharmacy management software systems.
- Valid state pharmacy technician license as required by the Department of Health.
