Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Process insurance claims and manage patient records
- Provide medication counseling and answer patient inquiries
- Maintain pharmacy inventory and order pharmaceutical supplies
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care
- Operate pharmacy software and automated dispensing systems
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification (PTB or ExCPT)
- Michigan pharmacy technician license required
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and math
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency with pharmacy systems
