Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and maintain electronic health records
- Provide exceptional patient education on medication usage
- Ensure compliance with DEA and Board of Pharmacy regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare teams for seamless patient care
- Maintain sterile compounding environments for IV medications
Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts Pharmacy Technician license
- Prior hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred
- CPhT certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Basic knowledge of pharmacy software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends and holidays
