Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications for patients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.
- Verify patient information and insurance details to process prescriptions efficiently.
- Assist the supervising pharmacist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking medications.
- Handle cash and credit transactions, balancing the register at the end of each shift.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions regarding medications and store policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment compliant with all regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers regarding prescription status.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by PTCB or ExCPT.
- Current and active California State Pharmacy Technician License.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with pharmacy software systems.
