Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications following strict safety protocols and legal regulations.
- Assist pharmacists with the interpretation of physician orders and prescription verification.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and manage stock levels to ensure product availability.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers, answering questions and addressing concerns.
- Process insurance claims and verify patient information for billing purposes.
- Perform routine cleaning and organization of the pharmacy workspace to maintain a safe environment.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) or registration with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent mathematical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software (e.g., McKesson, Cerner, or similar).
