Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Verify patient information and insurance details to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medication records using pharmacy management software systems.
- Assist customers with medication questions, refill requests, and general pharmacy inquiries to provide exceptional customer service.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and managing expired medication disposal.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to streamline workflow and improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required.
- Current Colorado State Board of Pharmacy registration in good standing.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; post-secondary education in pharmacy technology preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues of diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining accuracy.
