Responsibilities
- Verify the accuracy of prescriptions, including checking for drug interactions and allergies.
- Prepare and package medications for dispensing to patients and healthcare providers.
- Assist customers with prescription inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and organizing pharmaceutical products.
- Process insurance claims and handle billing transactions accurately.
- Assist the pharmacist in compounding medications and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
- Adhere to all state and federal laws, regulations, and pharmacy policies.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required.
- Current PTCB or ExCPT certification is preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy management software.
