Responsibilities
- Prescription Processing: Accurately receive, verify, and prepare medications according to physician orders.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, restock shelves, and manage incoming pharmaceutical supplies.
- Customer Service: Interact with patients to answer questions about medications and provide support.
- Quality Assurance: Perform routine checks to ensure all labeling and packaging meets regulatory standards.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate electronic and manual records of prescriptions and patient profiles.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all state and federal pharmacy laws and HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and active Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) required.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and excellent mathematical skills.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with patients, pharmacists, and medical staff.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
