Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage pharmaceutical inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and verify patient eligibility efficiently
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant electronic health records and prescription data
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Ensure strict adherence to FDA, DEA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient medication therapy
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficient in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Rx30)
- Strong knowledge of prescription processing and insurance protocols
- Excellent attention to detail and medication safety awareness
