Responsibilities
- Verify and prepare prescribed medications by counting, pouring, weighing, measuring, and mixing drugs.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions regarding prescription refills and drug interactions.
- Process insurance claims and handle copay collections efficiently.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient profiles and medication records.
- Monitor inventory levels and order pharmaceutical supplies to ensure stock availability.
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and pharmacy safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Current PTCB or ExCPT certification or license required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and dosage calculations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if required for store coverage).
