Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications accurately according to doctor's orders and safety protocols.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and third-party billing requirements.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, stocking, and tracking pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist pharmacists with compounding, quality assurance, and record maintenance.
- Provide outstanding customer service by answering questions and resolving medication inquiries.
- Perform routine cleaning and organization of the pharmacy workspace to ensure safety standards.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and DEA guidelines.
Qualifications
- Current, active Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) required by the state of Texas.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong mathematical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs when necessary.
- Proficiency with computer systems and pharmacy management software.
