As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in the medication distribution process, ensuring our patients receive the correct medications safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Verify the accuracy of prescriptions by checking for drug interactions and allergies.
- Prepare and package medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medication records and inventory logs.
- Assist customers with prescription inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
- Process insurance claims and handle copay transactions accurately.
- Ensure the pharmacy area is clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to streamline workflow and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in medication handling.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using pharmacy management software and computer systems.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
