Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately using automated dispensing equipment
- Manage pharmaceutical inventory with provided barcode scanners and tracking systems
- Operate pharmacy software (e.g., Omnicell, McKesson) for prescription processing
- Assist in sterile compounding with provided laminar flow hoods and equipment
- Process insurance claims and verify patient eligibility using provided systems
- Maintain HIPAA compliance with provided electronic health record software
- Train on new pharmacy technologies and equipment as implemented
Qualifications
- Active Georgia Pharmacy Technician license or certification
- Experience with automated dispensing systems (Omnicell, Pyxis, etc.)
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (Rx30, QS/1, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail with medication verification skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods using provided ergonomic equipment
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Basic computer skills with willingness to learn new technologies
