Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- Review medication orders for appropriateness, interactions, and dosage accuracy.
- Assist customers with prescription inquiries, insurance questions, and medication counseling.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock levels are sufficient.
- Process returns, exchanges, and refunds with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to all state pharmacy laws, HIPAA regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by PTCB or ExCPT required.
- Current, active California Pharmacy Technician license.
- At least 1 year of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred.
- Strong proficiency in computer systems and electronic health records (EHR).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
