Your Role:
In this role, you will work closely with our Pharmacist to ensure the smooth operation of the pharmacy. You will be responsible for processing prescriptions accurately, managing inventory, and providing top-tier customer service to our community.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications accurately and efficiently, following all state and federal regulations.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and dosage instructions to ensure safety and accuracy.
- Assist the Pharmacist with compounding, IV preparation, and other clinical duties as required.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including receiving deliveries, stocking shelves, and performing monthly stock counts.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering phone inquiries, resolving concerns, and educating patients on medication usage.
- Process insurance claims and handle payment transactions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Current PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) or ExCPT certification is required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of pharmacy software systems (e.g., Rx30, StarLink) is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Effective communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
