Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications and compound prescriptions under pharmacist supervision
- Manage prescription processing, inventory control, and third-party billing systems
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and strict confidentiality of patient information
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
- Train new technicians on pharmacy workflows and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Active Virginia Pharmacy Technician certification required
- 1+ years of retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, PDX)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Valid CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Pass background check and drug screening
