Responsibilities
- Accurately receive, prepare, and verify prescriptions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving deliveries, stocking shelves, and conducting monthly stock counts.
- Assist patients with medication inquiries, insurance copays, and the refill process.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and pharmacy safety standards.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to optimize workflow and improve patient satisfaction scores.
- Handle cash transactions and manage the pharmacy point-of-sale system efficiently.
- Process medication profiles and ensure accurate documentation for all dispensed drugs.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- Current state licensure to practice as a Pharmacy Technician in Kansas.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency with experience in pharmacy software (e.g., Rx30, Cerner) is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
