Responsibilities
- Process and fill prescription orders accurately and efficiently using pharmacy dispensing software.
- Verify the accuracy of prescriptions and collaborate with pharmacists to resolve any discrepancies.
- Assist customers and patients with medication inquiries, providing excellent customer service.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and organizing pharmaceutical products.
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and all state and federal pharmacy laws.
- Prepare sterile compounding products and administer immunizations as authorized.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited pharmacy technician program is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive tasks with high accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy management systems.
