Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Verify patient information, including allergies and current medications, to ensure patient safety.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving deliveries, stocking shelves, and performing monthly cycle counts.
- Process insurance claims and assist customers with financial counseling and payment options.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and resolving concerns regarding pharmacy products and services.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to streamline operations and improve workflow.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification is required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid state pharmacy technician license in Maryland.
- Previous experience in retail or hospital pharmacy preferred but not required for high-potential candidates.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
