Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring our patients receive the medications they need safely and accurately.
Responsibilities
- Accurately verify and prepare prescription medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Process insurance claims and handle cash transactions efficiently at the point of service.
- Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles in strict compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in the reordering of pharmaceutical supplies and equipment.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering patient inquiries and educating them on medication usage.
- Assist with the packaging and labeling of prescriptions for both retail and delivery services.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or registration eligible (PTCB or ExCPT certification preferred).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform math calculations accurately.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift boxes weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus.
