Responsibilities
- Verify the accuracy of prescriptions and ensure proper dosage and labeling.
- Prepare and package medications for dispensing under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving shipments, organizing stock, and restocking shelves.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering phone inquiries, processing refills, and resolving prescription issues.
- Assist in processing insurance claims and handling financial transactions accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment in compliance with all health regulations.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to streamline workflows and improve patient care efficiency.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT) is required.
- High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, drug interactions, and safety protocols.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a high-volume environment.
- Basic computer literacy and experience with pharmacy management software (e.g., Rx30, Eagle).
- Valid Florida Driver's License (preferred for delivery tasks).
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift boxes weighing up to 25 lbs.
