The Role
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive the correct medications safely and efficiently. You will work closely with our licensed pharmacists to uphold the highest standards of patient care.
Responsibilities
- Prescription Processing: Accurately fill prescriptions according to doctor's orders and state regulations.
- Assistance: Assist pharmacists in the preparation, compounding, and dispensing of medications.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, manage incoming deliveries, and restock supplies to ensure availability.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to patients, answering questions regarding medications and insurance coverage.
- Administrative Tasks: Process insurance claims, handle payment transactions, and maintain patient records.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all state and federal pharmacy laws and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or eligible to sit for the PTCB/ExCPT exam.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods and lift boxes weighing up to 25 lbs.
