Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescriptions accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and prescription orders for completeness and accuracy.
- Assist pharmacists with medication therapy management and compounding tasks.
- Manage inventory, including checking stock levels and restocking medications.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering questions and providing medication counseling support.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment in compliance with state regulations.
Qualifications
- Current Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or eligibility to obtain certification.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy terminology, drug interactions, and pharmacy software systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality.
