Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, stocking, and auditing pharmaceuticals
- Process insurance claims and manage patient billing inquiries
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Maintain strict compliance with DEA, HIPAA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Utilize pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Rx30) for prescription processing
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
Qualifications
- Active Indiana Pharmacy Technician license
- Prior pharmacy experience preferred (retail or hospital setting)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency with pharmacy management systems
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must pass background check and drug screening
