Responsibilities
- Dispense Medications: Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Prescription Verification: Review prescriptions for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to patients by answering questions and resolving concerns regarding medications.
- Record Keeping: Maintain patient profiles, medication histories, and regulatory documentation in compliance with HIPAA.
- Compounding Assistance: Prepare sterile compounding products when necessary.
- Assist Pharmacists: Support the pharmacy team in daily operations and special projects.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (ExCPT, PTCE, or CPhT) is required.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- License: Current Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Florida.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to verify data and maintain high accuracy standards.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency with pharmacy software systems (e.g., Rx30, BD scripts) is a plus.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
