Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescription medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Verify the accuracy of prescriptions, patient information, and dosage calculations.
- Assist customers with medication inquiries, insurance coverage, and providing product education.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving deliveries, stocking shelves, and performing monthly stock counts.
- Process insurance claims and handle cash transactions accurately at the point of sale.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment in accordance with health regulations.
- Assist in compounding and packaging medications as required.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification or equivalent experience required.
- High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy management software (e.g., RX30, Cerner).
- Valid California Pharmacy Technician license.
