Responsibilities
- Process prescription refill requests accurately and efficiently using our pharmacy management software.
- Verify patient information and insurance coverage to ensure proper billing and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, including sterile compounding when required.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering patient inquiries and explaining medication instructions clearly.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and conducting monthly audits.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment in strict adherence to HIPAA and FDA regulations.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with current certification (PTCB or ExCPT).
- Active California State Pharmacy Technician License.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a high-volume setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with computer systems and pharmacy software (e.g., Rx30, Cerner, or similar).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
