Responsibilities
- Receive, prepare, and dispense prescription medications accurately under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Verify prescriptions for dosage, interactions, and allergies to ensure patient safety.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and maintaining accurate records.
- Provide outstanding customer service by answering patient questions regarding medications, insurance, and store policies.
- Assist with compounding medications and preparing IVs as required by state regulations.
- Process insurance claims and handle copay transactions efficiently.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with pharmacy management software.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift boxes up to 25 lbs.
