Responsibilities
- Verify prescriptions for accuracy and completeness before dispensing.
- Prepare and package medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and manage stock levels efficiently.
- Assist customers with medication questions and provide basic health education.
- Process insurance claims and handle cash transactions with precision.
- Ensure strict compliance with all state and federal regulations, including HIPAA.
- Perform routine cleaning and organization of the pharmacy workspace.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PBT or ExCPT) required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with patients.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy management software.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
