Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications accurately under the supervision of a Pharmacist.
- Assist customers with prescription pickups, insurance processing, and medication questions.
- Maintain inventory, including checking expiration dates and restocking shelves.
- Operate pharmacy dispensing equipment and computer systems efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, including HIPAA.
- Process incoming prescriptions and manage returns or exchanges professionally.
- Keep the pharmacy area clean, organized, and safe for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current California State Pharmacy Technician License or Certification (PTCB/ExCPT).
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent math skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with pharmacy software is preferred.
