Responsibilities
- Process prescription orders accurately and efficiently for in-store and remote patients.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and medication orders for accuracy.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and manage stock levels of pharmaceutical supplies.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and resolving concerns.
- Assist pharmacists in compounding medications and preparing IV solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding pharmacy operations.
- Keep the pharmacy workspace clean, organized, and sanitary.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPHT) or valid state registration.
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Basic math skills for medication calculations and insurance verification.
- Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus.
