Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently according to state and federal laws.
- Verify physician orders, check for drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications.
- Assist customers with prescription inquiries, insurance verification, and copay processing.
- Manage inventory levels, restock shelves, and process pharmaceutical supply orders.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary pharmacy environment.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure high-quality patient care and safety.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or eligible for certification (ExCPT or CPhT) required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Basic computer literacy and experience with pharmacy software.
