Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, ordering, and stock rotation of pharmaceutical products
- Process insurance claims and maintain precise patient records
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Operate pharmacy technology including dispensing systems and EMR software
- Ensure strict compliance with federal and state pharmacy regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care outcomes
Qualifications
- Current Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician certification (PhT) required
- Minimum 1 year of retail or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy dispensing software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
- Strong attention to detail and medication safety knowledge
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, team-based environment
- Basic understanding of HIPAA compliance protocols
- High school diploma or equivalent required
