Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications for patients with accuracy and efficiency.
- Verify patient information and physician orders for completeness and accuracy.
- Process insurance claims and handle patient payments.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and manage pharmaceutical supplies.
- Provide exceptional customer service and answer patient inquiries regarding medications.
- Assist the supervising pharmacist in compounding and special preparations.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or eligible to certify (PTCB or ExCPT).
- Current, unencumbered Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Tennessee.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software systems (e.g., Rx30, Cerner).
