Responsibilities
- Process and fill prescriptions accurately and efficiently under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Maintain accurate patient medication records and manage inventory levels to ensure stock availability.
- Assist patients with medication inquiries, refill requests, and provide basic health education.
- Perform sterile compounding and preparation of medications in accordance with strict safety protocols.
- Ensure strict compliance with all state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and DEA guidelines.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to streamline workflows and enhance patient satisfaction scores.
Qualifications
- Current NY State Pharmacy Technician Registration and Certification (CPhT) preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are essential.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and healthcare professionals.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy management software.
