Responsibilities
- Assist licensed pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications accurately
- Manage inventory and order pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records
- Counsel patients on medication usage and side effects
- Ensure compliance with DEA and FDA regulations
- Operate pharmacy management software and automated dispensing systems
- Maintain clean, organized, and sterile work areas
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- No prior pharmacy experience required (training provided)
- Basic computer literacy and data entry skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25 lbs
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician license (or willingness to obtain)
