Responsibilities
- Receive, review, and prepare prescription refill requests under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Assist in the accurate dispensing of medications to patients, including packaging and labeling.
- Manage inventory levels by stocking shelves and monitoring expiration dates.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and medical history to ensure safety and compliance.
- Communicate with patients and healthcare providers to clarify orders and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace in accordance with health regulations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy and typing skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Willingness to obtain Pharmacy Technician certification or license as required by state law.
- Commitment to HIPAA privacy standards and patient confidentiality.
