As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our community receives the medications they need safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Medication Preparation: Accurately receive, prepare, and verify prescriptions under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer questions regarding medications, and provide a positive pharmacy experience.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, manage incoming shipments, and organize the pharmacy storage area efficiently.
- Administrative Support: Process insurance claims, update patient records, and handle cash transactions with precision.
- Compliance & Safety: Adhere to all state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA safety standards.
- Assistance: Assist the Pharmacist with clinical tasks, such as medication therapy management and special ordering.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is required.
- Certification: Willingness to obtain a California State Board of Pharmacy registration or certification upon hire (training is provided).
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and familiarity with medical terminology is a plus.
- Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
