Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications accurately under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist patients with medication inquiries and insurance questions.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and conducting monthly stock counts.
- Assist in the timely processing of prescription orders and data entry into pharmacy management systems.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Verify prescription information for accuracy and completeness before dispensing.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; relevant certifications (e.g., PTCE, ExCPT) are a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in medication handling.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn new pharmacy software.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (for inventory runs) are preferred.
