Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescription medications following legal and ethical guidelines.
- Verify patient information and insurance coverage to ensure accurate billing.
- Assist pharmacists with medication therapy management and patient consultations.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and ordering pharmaceutical supplies.
- Operate pharmacy automation equipment and computer systems (e.g., Rx30, Cerner).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent mathematical skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with healthcare software.
- Current Nebraska Pharmacy Technician license.
