Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications accurately under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and physician orders to ensure compliance.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including monitoring stock levels and processing replenishment orders.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, resolving concerns, and offering medication counseling.
- Assist with the processing of insurance claims, prior authorizations, and billing reconciliation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Process returns, recalls, and expired medication in strict adherence to state and federal laws.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Nebraska Pharmacy Technician license.
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in medication dispensing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software (e.g., Rx30, Cerner, or similar).
