Responsibilities
- Prescription Processing: Accurately receive, verify, and prepare prescriptions for dispensing under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, manage pharmacy inventory, and place orders for medications and supplies.
- Customer Service: Assist patients with medication inquiries, insurance verification, and provide professional, courteous service.
- Compounding & Preparation: Prepare medications and perform sterile compounding tasks as required by state regulations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records, update computer systems, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification or eligibility to obtain certification.
- Licensure: Valid Nebraska Pharmacy Technician license (or ability to obtain).
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency with pharmacy management software.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and team members.
