Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications and verify prescriptions under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies
- Prepare IV medications and sterile compounds in compliance with USP 797 standards
- Process insurance claims and maintain electronic health records
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Train new pharmacy staff on operational protocols
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA and regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Active Florida Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year hospital or retail pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, Cerner)
- Strong knowledge of medication safety protocols
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
