Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify prescription medications with 100% precision
- Lead inventory management and ordering systems for controlled substances
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy technicians on protocols and best practices
- Manage third-party insurance billing and reimbursement processes
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain strict patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with pharmacists to optimize medication therapy outcomes
- Implement quality control measures for compounding and sterile preparations
- Coordinate with healthcare providers for prescription clarification and refill authorization
Qualifications
- Active Kentucky Pharmacy Technician License (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 3 years of retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Expert knowledge of IV compounding and sterile preparation
- Proven leadership experience in team coordination
- Advanced proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero-medication-error record
- Strong understanding of state/federal pharmacy regulations
- Excellent communication skills for patient and provider interactions
