Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Process insurance claims and manage inventory systems
- Provide exceptional patient consultation on medication usage
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards
- Operate pharmacy automation technology (e.g., robotic dispensing systems)
- Collaborate with healthcare providers on patient care plans
- Prepare sterile compounds and IV medications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic computer proficiency with willingness to learn pharmacy software
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25 lbs
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Valid Louisiana Pharmacy Technician license (or commitment to obtain within 90 days)
