Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and compound pharmaceutical preparations
- Manage inventory control systems, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records with precision
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Ensure compliance with DEA, FDA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Operate pharmacy management software and automated dispensing systems
- Collaborate with pharmacists on clinical initiatives and patient safety protocols
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Pharmacy Technician certification required
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, HIPAA, and safety protocols
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Excellent attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
