Responsibilities
- Accurately verify prescription orders, checking for drug interactions and allergies before dispensing.
- Prepare and package medications, including compounding and labeling, following strict safety protocols.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and ordering pharmaceutical supplies.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and assisting patients with their prescriptions.
- Process insurance claims and handle financial transactions at the point of service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant workspace in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required by the State Board of Pharmacy.
- Current, unencumbered pharmacy technician license in Texas.
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry and medication preparation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy management systems.
