Responsibilities
- Prescription Processing: Accurately receive, review, and fill prescriptions according to state and federal regulations.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, order pharmaceutical supplies, and manage returns to ensure optimal inventory levels.
- Patient Interaction: Provide exceptional customer service by answering patient inquiries and offering medication counseling where appropriate.
- Quality Assurance: Assist in the preparation of sterile products and ensure compliance with HIPAA and safety protocols.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with pharmacists and other healthcare team members to resolve discrepancies and ensure seamless workflow.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must hold current PTCB or ExCPT certification.
- Licensure: Valid North Carolina Pharmacy Technician license.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and excellent mathematical skills for dosage calculations.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
