Responsibilities
- Accurately receive, process, and fill prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Verify prescription orders for completeness and accuracy before dispensing.
- Prepare sterile compounding solutions and medications.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and manage stock levels to prevent shortages.
- Communicate with patients regarding prescriptions, insurance coverage, and medication interactions.
- Assist with billing, insurance claims, and reimbursement processing.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required.
- Valid California Pharmacy Technician license in good standing.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adhere to strict safety protocols.
